Footage

I have now got most of the important footage to begin my documentary, to open my documentary i am going to film the sun set going down. I needed to find a location to so this, somewhere high up and a relaxed scenery.
I had got hold of a contact and stood the camera filming the sun set on a scaffolding. eventually going down to the night with footage of blenheim grounds

Schedule

During the process of creating my documentry i have writen a short post on my blog to recor the events that have taken place. I have done this to show my planning and making sure that everything is going to plan. At the moment I am in the process of my filming and uploading my footage onto the Mac book.
My next step is to work into the footage and start my editing.

Location

Blenheim Palace - These are some of the stories that I have found on the internet that I could possibly use on my media project. I could either use some of these stories or take bits of them apart and make the other part up myself. To make this realistic I could put together a news paper article therefore making the person beleive that there really is a ghost that hauts blenheim palace.

The house is said to be haunted by the ghost of a Roundhead, a soldier fighting on the side of Cromwell during the English Civil war. He appears sitting near to the fire in one of the bedrooms.

The site of Fair Rosamund's Bower was also thought to have been where the palace gardens are now. This was the house said to have been built by Henry II for his mistress, who in legend took her own life.

Location

I have scouted around Oxfordshire for a relatively large space, preferably with a house/mansion enabling me to create a story to tell a person, making them believe that the fake thriller story is real.
I have scouted locations and came up with the following:

Researching the following I've decided that I'm going to use blenheim palace. It's the closest location to use and would be the easiest to work around. As i live in Woodstock I have a pass to the grounds, enabling me to go into the grounds at any time.

Beauty Pressure advert

This is an advert which I came across during my media lesson. Its an advert that shows what the beauty industry is doing to the young girls in the world today. By showing all the 'beautiful' women in their magazines, on TV etc.. what is it doing to them exactly?
Watching this advert I really liked the way that the creator portrays it across using sharp, quick, vivid shots. It makes you feel instantly in the issue and grabs your attention. The reason for doing this quickly I think is because he creator wants to show how fast your child is growing up and how quick the beauty industry grabs young girls into their reins.

Derren Brown: Behind the Mischief

This is the documentry of Derren Brown. He shows exactly what the title says 'behind the mischief'. Derren shows what he's been doing behind the filming and how he portrays the paranormal affect on his victims.
I needed to get insight on the extent of how far people would go and the amount of beleif within the 'mischief'

Derren Brown: Enigma

Doing a documentary I started to research the particular programs that would relate to my own. Derren Brown does not believe in the paranormal and in many of his documentaries he shows how the paranormal world can be misinterpreted with the smallest belief. This is a documentary where he 'tricks' alot of peoples beliefs with just a few small tricks.
I want to research a few different takes on the paranormal and during this I should decide which veiw I'll come from.

Change of plan

After much thought into the project I have decided that I want to research into a subject that I would be more involved and intrested in. I'm very much intrested into the paranormal and started to research into a few documentrys that I have come across such as Darren Brown. He doesnt beleive in the paranormal but change convince a group of people its a real occourance of the paranormal.
I had then had a few conversations disscussing people's experiences with the paranormal and finally came to the decision that I must research into this topic. My plan is to get in contact with a medium and meet with a few people to see what would be happen. Obviously I would need the mediums permission to film, or just have a camera but not to be showimg the persons face.
